Bosnian oral tradition in culture of the world

The Herzegovina Museum and the Center for Cultural Heritage of the International Forum Bosnia, with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, are going to organize a scientific program on October 27 and 28, the First International Colloquium Bosnian Oral Tradition in World Culture. This program will be realized in the Center for Culture in Mostar.
The goal of the First International Colloquium Bosnian Oral Tradition in World Culture is to initiate a systematic and long-term presentation and research of Bosnian oral heritage in the Milman Parry Oral Literature Collection of Harvard University. This collection is fundamentally related to Bosnian oral heritage.
It is the basis of various research endeavors in the cultures of the world. It is insufficiently known and used in its country of origin. Invited researchers from the country and the world will present the content and significance of this collection and the possibilities of its inclusion in the living Bosnian culture. In addition to the purely scientific content of this colloquium, a public discussion on Bosnian oral heritage and an open exhibition of the Art of Bosnian Musandera will be organized. The final program of the First International Colloquium Bosnian Oral Tradition in World Culture will be presented on October 27, 2017 at a press conference at the Cultural Center in Mostar.
