ARCHAEOLOGICAL SETTING – FACILITY NEXT TO DŽEMAL BIJEDIĆ'S HOUSE

Part of the archaeological exhibition is in the yard of the building next to the house of Džemal Bijedić, and it consists of several different objects.

Exhibited objects:

  • sepulchral monument of the girl Lupa from the locality of Sovica near Grud, 2nd century BC, (picture no. 1)
  • then the Edil Roman tombstone from Brotnje, (picture no. 2.)
  • fragment of a Roman marker from the “Bunari” cemetery site of Vitina near Ljubuški, second half of the 3rd century AD. , (picture no. 3.)
  • a fragment of a Roman stone head with an acanthus leaf from the “Crkvine” site in Čitluk, (picture no. 4)
  • early medieval sword, 9th century, Vukodol near Mostar, (picture no. 5)
  • Illyrian helmet, 5th century BC, (images no. 6, 7 and 8)
  • late antique stone fragments from the localities of Cima and Žitomislić, from the end of the 5th century AD. and the beginning of the 6th century AD. (images no. 9, 10 and 11)
  • dioskuri, Dračevo, (Čapljina) 2nd century BC (image no. 12)
